About Rashtriya Utthaan: uplifting the nation, one institution at a time

Our story

Why we exist

Led by visionary educators and strategic advisors, our organization brings together expertise from premier institutions and government initiatives to uplift the quality and accessibility of education in India.

India has one of the largest higher-education systems in the world. Thousands of colleges have committed management, capable faculty and ambitious students — yet many are held back by outdated curricula, limited research culture, weak industry links and manual administration. National reforms such as the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 have raised expectations, but institutions often lack the hands-on support to turn policy into everyday practice.

Rashtriya Utthaan — national upliftment — was created to provide that support. We bring together people who have led institutions, built research programmes, filed patents and run large technology transformations, and we put that experience to work on campus.

Our mission is to bridge the gap between industry and academia through continuous improvement frameworks, policy-level mentorship, and innovation-driven learning systems.

How we work

Principles behind every engagement

  • Evidence before advice. We start with data, documents and conversations — not assumptions.
  • Implementation, not just reports. We stay involved until changes are working in classrooms and offices.
  • Build capacity that stays. Faculty and leaders learn to run new systems themselves.
  • Policy-aligned. Programmes reflect NEP 2020 and national accreditation and ranking expectations.
  • Honest about outcomes. We commit to clear plans and measurable targets — never to guaranteed grades or ranks.
  • Independent. Our recommendations on technology and infrastructure are vendor-neutral.

Where we work

Rooted in Bengaluru, focused on Bengaluru

Our office is in Kithaganur, East Bengaluru. Being in one of India’s largest education and technology hubs keeps us close to industry, research institutions and a dense network of colleges — and our current flagship programme is with T. John Institute of Technology in Bengaluru.

We work only with Bengaluru institutions. That focus lets our leaders be on campus regularly, know the local industry and recruiter landscape, and stay closely involved through implementation.

FAQ

About Rashtriya Utthaan: common questions

What does “Rashtriya Utthaan” mean?

“Rashtriya Utthaan” is Hindi for “national upliftment”. The name reflects our belief that India rises when its educational institutions rise. Our programmes are offered under the Rashtriya Utthaan EduSpark identity.

Where is Rashtriya Utthaan based?

Our office is at #12, Royal Enclave Layout, Kithaganur, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560049. We work exclusively with institutions in Bengaluru.

Is Rashtriya Utthaan a government body?

No. Rashtriya Utthaan is an independent organisation. Our programmes are aligned with national policy such as NEP 2020 and with national quality frameworks, and our team includes people with experience of government initiatives, but we are not part of any regulatory or government agency.

How is your approach different from a one-time audit?

An audit tells an institution what is wrong. We also help fix it: after diagnosis we agree a roadmap with leadership and stay involved through implementation, reviewing progress and adjusting the plan — as in our 3-year programme with T. John Institute of Technology.
